The questions below are designed to help the British Union Conference, along with the NEC, SEC and the three Missions, assess the current communication needs of both your local church and the wider needs of the Adventist Church across the UK and Ireland. It is NOT a test to see how well your church is doing. Churches differ greatly in size, location, composition and needs.  Therefore we expect a variety of answers.

Please allow about 20 minutes to fill in the survey. You may first wish to consult with your members regarding some of the questions.

Thank you for taking the time to help the BUC Communications team do their job more effectively and serve you better.

Messenger is the official journal of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the UK and Ireland. As such it is important the Messenger is fulfilling your needs.  It is distributed fortnightly directly to churches in England and Ireland and by mail to members' homes in Scotland and Wales.  It is also available as a pdf online.

BUC News complements Messenger with an electronic weekly news update both online and by email subscription.  It also has a Facebook page and a Twitter feed giving more regular updates during the week and allowing opportunity for comment.  Many local church websites embed BUC News into their website and an RSS feed is also available. Because it is electronic news is generally published within the same week and is rarely more than two weeks old.  The email version also contains Coming Events and a limited selection of Small Ads.
